      Hi, Jakefsf84. :-)

So you have an Adler model 153A with the original guarantee paperwork. That is very cool.

Here is some background on Adler sewing machines (I'd give you a link to Duerkopp-Adler AG's website, but it doesn't appear to be configured correctly right now):

      http://www.fundinguniverse.com/company-histories/d%C3%BCrkopp-adler-ag-history/

      https://www.fiddlebase.com/german-machines/adler/

I don't know if you have a manual, but if you don't, Mr. Peabody's Wayback Machine has you covered:

      https://archive.org/details/adler-153-a-en

Here are a couple of sites where sewing machine enthusiasts discuss the Adler 153A:

      https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/82338-adler-a-153-machine/

I don't know much about Adler sewing machines, but if you have questions, ask them here in a comment, and I'll go back out into the wilds of the Internet to try to find answers. (Not today, though. I'm winding down for the day.)

Here is a portable Adler model 153A with a foot pedal:

FYI, just below the entry for the model 153A at the above site is an entry for a model 189A, which has many more pictures, and information.

I gather that the 189A is similar to the 153A, but it has more features, and was used by tailors as well as non-professional home users.

Jakefsf84, I guess I forgot to mention why that guarantee paperwork, beyond being cool, is important, huh?

Insofar as I know, there is no database of Adler sewing machine serial numbers, so the fact that you have paperwork documenting that an Alder 153A with a serial number of 11907 was guaranteed on April 13, 1954 (presumably purchased on that same date, which per timeanddate dot com was a Tuesday) helps other people who have vintage Adler sewing machines date theirs. :-)

I actually have a question (and request) for you: where on the body of the machine is the serial number? Could you perhaps delete one of your existing pictures (I would recommend the current second one), and add a picture of the serial number?

Here is a video of somebody doing a demonstration of an Adler model 153A:

      Aug 16, 2018

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Nv3Ew3rsSU

The demonstrator is speaking in what I suspect is Ukrainian, but even if you don't understand the language, the visuals are still good.

For instance, in the first two minutes of the video, he tilts the sewing machine head up out of the case, and at that point, I spy what might be the serial number in a place common to many vintage sewing machine: below the pillar and just under the machine bed.

Compare this Coombe badged Nauman Klasse 8 sewing machine with the serial number circled in red:
