Been curious about this one for years. The label you see in the photo is sewn on the inside, sideways. There's a tag up by the neck with the person's name written on it with a pen. It's hard to read, but they definitely say they are Doctor on it. On one wrist you have a star patch, and on the other is a patch that says, "US ROTC". For some reason, Ive been under the impression that this was a jacket worn by someone in a military band. Don't know why I thought that. Would love any insight you may have. Thanks!

The label and rank is not correct for USMA (West Point).
These were/ are worn by cadets at numerous military schools.
The name may help in your search— “William Di Monda“.
The collar stars are indicative of academic achievement at USMA —suspect a similar use at this military school.
