Looks to me like a Japanese, Imari, porcelain jar. Flower pot hider ? No marks on the bottom. Hight 21.5 cm. Diam. 21.5 cm. From sometime in the 19th century ? Maybe you can date it more precisely ?

Very nice. I tend to agree with you Golgatha. Dating pieces is not my strong point but Apostata has helped me with a lot of my Asian pieces. He may just pop in and comment if he sees your post. He is the expert here on CW. :)

IMO this is Taisho at best, this is strange design, would not surprise me there is a run out out in Showa
Pretty interesting what Waki is saying about difference in clouds. I like the "floating anvil" description..lol..the cloud on the left looks like the ship from star trek..
