Mystery Tooth from Saint Augustine, FL

I recently went on vacation to Saint Augustine. I found this tooth in a swampy area. I initially thought it was an alligator tooth. But I’ve looked up alligator teeth and this looks nothing like one. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can identify it for me. I have some suspicion of what animal it came from but I don’t want to say. In order to prevent clouding of judgement or misidentification.
