Does anyone recognise this ? It’s leather bound and issued but sadly unused . Issued to a us marine between 1942-43

My guess is, they were selling these to family members to send to their relatives. There are a few different ones available from a quick search..

It doesn’t seem like something the government would issue to military personnel; it might be unwise for personnel to be making unsecured notes about the daily “goings on”.
I noted it’s not published by the government, so probably not “official” issue.

By the way, the “bathtub picture” gave me my first good giggle of the day! ;^D
