Picked this up today at a thrift store. I believe it’s a Japanese Ikebana Flower Basket made from bamboo, or perhaps a some kind of storage bin. It appears to have a lot of wear, just see the photos. There are small nails also holding it together. The bottom is a solid piece of wood. Almost looks like a Nantucket Lightship basket. There are no markings on the basket, and I believe it had something else attached to it or a lid. Any info on this piece would be greatly appreciated.
Measures 6” tall and 6 5/8” wide. Great condition considering the age and materials.
