This image is of the Maker's Mark of the Roger Smith Ashtray. It is centered on the reverse of this ashtray.
Once again, I don't how this imagebecame repositioned, and I can't get it to appear as it should.

That image orientation problem goes way back at CW S&T. Basically, it's that the CW S&T software doesn't play nicely with all image sources, especially cameras in tablets and smart phones.
There's no fix, only a workaround, which is to trim your picture, delete the wrongly oriented one, and replace it with the trimmed copy.
It doesn't seem to matter what kind of trim you make, just slice a bit off of an edge.
Anyway, I'm tantalized by that patent number I can't quite read. Perhaps it has to do with the built-in holder for the match book?
