I found these a while back, a pair, one cream, one black, thinking they were 40s/50 hooks. Trying to find online, all I am getting is car parts. I wonder if any petrol heads would have a clue .... I haven't! Very appreciative of any info

I've added images, no numbers, but there is paint residue on the back, would that go against it being a car part .... I cannot resist a puzzle
