Hoping someone can answer this question

I acquired this Athearn SE set of the Santa Fe Yellow bonnet and Blue bonnet tears ago on eBay

But this set had the B unit also in both colors

    Is the B unit factory?

I've never seen one otherwise in the blue box series

    Thanks!

I have never seen the yellow bonnet with a silver bonnet. I fear I have no clue about the B unit despite having a lot of Athearn.

The power truck side-frames look like the later plastic types so it isn't an earlier one, but the paint esp low down on the doors looks a bit blobby, I'm guessing a repaint.
