Just a note that HO gauge refers to the space between the rails while the scale of HO is 1/87. I think the tracks are wider than 1/87, It just works that way anyway back to my old west train.
This is the coach car which is basically a bus, a long distance bus but much better than a stagecoach, wagon or horse. Rail travel was old news in the east but in the west this was relatively new in 1890. At least a reliable rail system from point A to point B> And there was no more sending months on a wagon train.
