Gentlemen,
I recently obtained a cuckoo clock that had an unknown provenance and was not only damaged, but missing wood parts. All the carved parts are wood, the bird, and even the stag’s antlers. There is what I assume is a pheasant carving on one side and a hare on the other. I’m not a collector - I merely wanted an operating cuckoo clock. I disassembled, cleaned, and oiled the movement. The movement is stamped with Made in Germany - US Zone. I repaired the wood parts with pieces of another clock I got on ebay and assembled the clock. It wont keep running. The weights I got with the clock weigh 425 grams, but I’m not sure they belong to this clock.
If you think the movement is of any value to you, or someone you know, I would happily swap it for a running movement with the correct weights, etc. I am sending you some photos of the clock.
Please advise,
Regards, Otey C Reynolds, 1695 Balsa Ct, Orange Park, FL 32073, 904-607-1500

I already have plenty of movements for myself ,
at least two a day
Since it's marked U.S. zone, dates it back between 1945 to 1949. From 50 to 89 would have been marked West Germany.
