I found a pair of beautifully intricately hand painted rooster themed black enamel vases at a local yard sale. After closer inspection, it looks as though they have proper patina and base wear showing age. I can't find any maker that used what looks to be, MAi over ADH within a double bordered square. I am hoping to establish where this may have been made and by what maker. The third photo is of the 2nd vase, withonly one marked by the maker. At first, I thought that they were metal, but noticed red clay at the base under missing enamel; they just didn't come off as pottery pieces. Any help by the knowledgeable CW family would be greatly appreciated.
