Tiffany & Co. 1837 Collection Sterling Silver (925) Ballpoint Pen, Germany

I recently picked up this Tiffany & Co. sterling silver (half-twist retractable) ballpoint pen, that I understand to be part of its 1837 Collection series. The pocket clip bears the markings: T & Co; 925; and 1837. Around the base of the cap it reads “Tiffany & Co.” and “925” around the front, and around the back, “Germany.” On the inside seat upon which the cap sits it’s stamped, “01036,” and it retains its original Tiffany (Parker style) refill that still writes. I've been told that this pen may have been made for Tiffany by either of two German companies: Waldmann; or Diplomat.

I would appreciate any information about this pen you might be able to convey.
