Early color postcard showing the Chateau Frontenac Hotel and Champlain Monument overlooking the St. Lawrence River in Quebec City. The grand hotel, built for the Canadian Pacific Railway, is a perfect imitation of old French Renaissance chateaux. The river wing was completed in 1893, rebuilt after the 1926 fire, and restored in 1930. The north wing and central tower date from 1924–25.
Mailed 1930 from Quebec to Massachusetts with a 2 cent King George V stamp.
A fine architectural view of one of Canada’s most famous landmarks.

The hotel has beautiful architecture
