I started a collection of Rumph mugs in the 70's. I believe that McCoy was making them at the time. I recently unpacked a particularly important one for this holiday season. From the ice pack on his head to the pink elephants in the mug this is a winner! Beware the dreaded

That is so cute! I think if I were drinking out of this one, I would have to do a double take when I got down far enough to see that pink trunk sticking up. I would hope I have sufficient presence of mind NOT to drop it!
lol! Some of the Rumph designs are very funny. See if you can find a picture of the bird sitting on the outhouse. Silly humor but fun!
The value of his mugs have gone up significantly in just the last six months! I just. Bid $26 on his"dirty bird"mug and it went for over $36!

Prices haven't gone up. People are getting their tax returns back and spending the money. This is one of the three best times of the year to sell.

I think the "outhouse" is so funny. I like the tributes to the Star Wars characters as well but I have read that they have been reproduced somewhere, so I am cautious.
The first one I ever got was the "woo woo headless maiden" on the side of a mug. ( perhaps a gargoyle?) Sorry, senior moment, can't remember the name of the mug! (I kind of like my name for it!)
