Last month, I got this nice stéréo camera which has now a good place in my camera collection.
It is a "La Francia" from Mackenstein. A nice wood and leather French camera dated circa 1905.
It allows for taking stereo views or panoramic single ones by simply moving the front part on the side.
The shutter is still working perfectly
Format is 6x13 cm

Very unique and out of the ordinary. Wouldn't that require a stereo viewer to view the photo in stereo.....?

Must be quite a collectors item.

Yes It needs a stereo viewer.
The camera is shown in panoramic position and is fitted with original yellow filters

Here is a stereo viewer for sale on E-Bay. I don't know if it is period or not. Beautiful camera!!!
