These are a pair of silver plated Ronson 'Decanter' Lighters. There were four versions of Ronson 'Decanter' made, of which these examples are of the final version, and probably date to the 1950's. The first version (which is rare) has a flared base, ringed by coloured enamel and has no decorative motif around the edge; the second and third versions are very similar to those shown, but with slight difference to the rim (the second version has a flat rim and a screw on the top of the snuffer cap, the third version has a beaded rim). Only the final (forth) version, which is shown here, is maked on the base with the 'Decanter' name.
