Tak Tak le Teckel by Colyann is a French picture book about what happens when a dachshund and a tiger striped kitten get left alone for the day in an old French barn. It was published in 1960. I found it 50 years later at a college library sale in Pennsylvania. Wonderful black and white photos with captions in French but you really don't need to know French to enjoy the book. Children will love telling you the story.
