Please help me with this picture, if you can, date? I have had it for years, I can't remember from where.

    Is it worth anything?

Fair to good condition. Who? if anybody knows. Thank You.

No-- it is not a daguerreotype.

It looks like it is a tintype. May be an ambrotype (on glass). It dates from about 1855- 1865.

Add the dimensions and I will give you a value ballpark.

      Bless You Scott,
      2 1/2" wide
      2 3/8" tall
      1/2" deep
      Dimensions are with it closed.
      Tin under glass
It has a brass hook closure.
      Thank You for your expertise.

It is Ninth plate (1/9) size.

These have a value of about $15- $25 depending on the sale venue-- toward the lower end on ebay. Most of the value is in the case.
