    Is this a Native American Basket ? I have no history on it...can anyone hepl me ? Basket measures: 7" round x 5-1/2" tall with leather dangling and metal chimes at the end of the dangling leather

      Hi, this is Apache tribe. It is called a burden basket and these smaller ones were made for the tourist trade. The larger ones are expensive....
      Some were made and then pine pitch was used on the outside to make them waterproof. Nice basket!
