    THIS IS A HAND POUNDED AND LEAD SEAM SEALED CONICAL SHAPED ITEM. IT IS 28 INCHES TALL WITH A 171/2 INCH BASE. I AM NOT SURE BUT THINK IT IS A CAP PIECE FOR A ROOF SPIRE? ANYONE KNOW. I JUST LIKED THE WORKMANSHIP AND UNUSUAL DESIGN.

      That joint you show in the first photo looks like it was brazed with brass rod.

      IT'S DUST, THE JOINT IS SOFT LEAD AND LOOKS TO BE HAND FILLED.
