This is my first pick. I bought it at a flea market for $15. It was covered in dirt but I was able to clean it off. There is some rust on the base of the fan but I think it just adds more character! The fan works really well, especially how poor its condition was when I first bought it.

The maker of the fan is Diehl. The fan contains all its original parts except for the wire because of it being a fire hazard.

I really want to know the history of this fan and what it is worth.

This is a late '30s to early '40s model. It's a very good fan to own. In excellent condition, it's worth... what someone will pay. Realistically, that should be at least $200 - in very good condition. Yours is admittedly rough, but it works. I'd say your $15 was a great deal... it's probably valued at least $40-$60 as it sits.

Get that fan restored and you might love it even more! I think it's worth it.
It's an old one for sure.
