    These 2 little guys are ceramic, hand painted, made in Japan. They both have MADE IN JAPAN impressed in their backs just below the neck. The officer(right) has JAPAN stamped in black. Also they both have "G292" impressed under the MADE IN JAPAN. I do know the made in japan was after 1921. Thanks. Jimbo

      Can you imagine a child today being allowed to play with something like this? There would be none left as heirlooms or for collectors (not to mention child safety officers coming to get you)! Children used to take great care of their toys, didn't they? They were few and far between for the last generation. I love these, btw. :-)
