    Sadly...Aunt Nellie was not at the helm making her trusty notes on the backs of these. I don't have much of a clue as to who they are, but they are from Mom's side of the family (where apparently no one ever had a pen or pencil handy). Don't know what type of photos the really old ones are, but the soldier is a snapshot I believe.

      Far left looks like a cabinet card (about 4 1/2" X 6 1/2") from about 1880s- 1890s.

      The other looks to be a little later-- maybe Spanish American War era (1898). The sailor uniform may have been a patriotic gesture.

      The last looks like a WW2 era snapshot.

      WOW Scott, very impressive!! the picts. are great but i LUV pict#2 , that font, & design screem turn-of-the century!!! maybe something you would see in a no-speak movie.
