      1930's or 40's is my guess. someone who knows better should post something later...

      you can search the date of patents here: http://patft.uspto.gov/

      The latest patent from the first two pictures is 1956. "other patents pending" means it is at least slightly later. I would say late fifties MAYBE early '60s.
