Hello, I do not blame you if you do not like this mask. I got it for $7.00 as no one else bid on it. I do not know where it is from, but the little studying I did seems like far north Indians do these, Oregon, Washington, and up to Alaska. Mask with hair, also Japan does this. It came from Oregon. The drawing on it is quite good, on the teeth, etc. The hair is kind of braided with thread, and attached to forehead. Also if worn the mouth opens and closes if you move your chin! If anyone knows about this, please let me know! Thanks for looking!!

I too, have a mask similar to this one that I am trying to research. I do not find much of a match with North American Indians. The mask appears to be more like those found in Bali or the Japanese Noh. The Bali have the teeth exposed, some with hinged lower jaw, and with hair sewn to the mask.

I agree! I think Bali or Indonesian Mask, Too big for Noh Japanese Mask. Thanks!
