American Indian portrait

This was bought from a customer of mine moving. She Inherited it from her father and she remembers that the artist was somebody from the Midwest part of the United States. It looks to be pen and Ink drawing original. The notes at the bottom of the board states that this was for the Boy Scouts of America. An illustration For page 31 of a publication. I don't know the year that this was made. I need help identifying the artist and possibly the publication and date This was used.
