Hello, first I bought the middle size one 9 lbs., next the small man and woman, Now just received the middle one, the largest. I visited many Buddhist places in China. Dazu, Ghost City, etc. I worked right by the City of 10,000 Buddhist in Mendocino County. Beautiful place with 10,000 gold Buddhas, old State Hospital on maybe 1000 acres +. Sold to them by state of Ca. for $1.00! http://www.cttbusa.org/ great Vegetarian Rest. there. Peacocks, gardens etc. Please take a look. I was a crisis worker for the county, evaluating suicidal people and my great boss hired a monk! He worked with me at first, a black man,who wore his orange robe and sandals, the ER Drs. and Police, sheriff and hi-way patrol were surprised to see a monk! I took my son to eat there many times! In temple 9,999 small Statues and one huge one for 10,000! We needed a Jr. College at this time but Governor Brown (Gov. Moonbeam) dating Linda Ronstadt, rock singer, gave it to the Buddhist for $1.00! in about 1973 . I am so happy he did this! he is 70+ and Governor again now!! wow! his dad was governor many years ago! But his sister was most intelligent in the family, really! thanks Don
I always visit the City, The monks love to talk with people, they have a school for children there, many people send there kids there, they learn Chinese, it is a wonderful place! Many organic gardens. The state hosp. closed, they were in trouble for doing the LSD experiments on Alcoholics and people with schizophrenia. Reagan closed it and maybe 10 more. People were dumped on the streets with no care. Closing was good idea, but slowly would have been better. Only one real world and everyone should live in it.
Thank you Geno I was born in 1949, It was the BEST of times for sure and also the worst of times with Vietnam etc. but peoples minds expanded and the Arts thrived, in music and all aspects! (you look much younger than mid 50's!) your friend Don
