I just picked up this Lefton kitty at a thrift store. I have not had a chance to clean it yet so ignore the dirt. I have been trying to research it online but have been unsuccessful at finding one just like it. The bottom has the Lefton sticker that reads "Lefton's REG.U.S.PAT.OFF EXCLUSIVES JAPAN" and has the stamp H4310.
This piece has the glass eyes and is used as a planter. I found other glass eyed planter Lefton's online but not one that looks like this. I am wondering if that means this piece is rare OR that it is a fake of some kind.
If you know anything about this specific Lefton or Lefton's like it please share! I am genuinely interested in figuring out the story of this Lefton. It is really cute and I want to know more about it.

Most Lefton pieces were made in large quantities, so maybe all the people, who purchased this one originally, kept it because it is just adorable!
