    This Singer "Featherweight" is a specially "badged" variation of the 221 sold at the "Golden Gate Exposition" held in San Francisco in 1939-1940.
    Very few are known to exist in "Featherweight" collections. This machine's serial # was assigned Dec. 5th, 1939 and was badged with the year "1940" in anticipation of being sold at the fair the following year.
    Along with the machine are its original case, attachments, owner's manual, foot controller, & keys.
    It holds a very special place in our collection.

      As with most if not all, items..."Condition" & "Rarity" determine a value. That and what someone is willing to part with. I've witnessed prices range from $1,000 to $3,200 for the "Golden Gate San Francisco 1939/ 1940" 221's.
