One of these days I'm going to find a pair of these beautiful "retro" pheasant figures ! I always seem to find the females but the males constantly elude me. The mate to this one is sitting on a rock in a more upright pose. These could be purchased with S&H Green stamps in the 50's and 60's. It's a heavy dense ceramic with a raised white speckled finish over a tan base. About 12" long it has two black painted eyes but the beak is curiously only tinted yellow on one side. No maker mark or label. -Mike-

I'm getting there ...lol. Just got back from VOA, it's the last Tues. of the month so 50 percent off everything in the store today ! Went to a few other places too. Got to process this new stuff and ID some of it. 100 club here I come !
