Wondering if anyone has seen a lamp shade like the one I have here. There are three broken glass panels that I would like to replace. I thought maybe someone knows what time frame this lamp was made.
Thanks for any info you can give me.

Somewhere between 1910 and 1920 and it's a Pittsburgh Lamp.

Thank you for your information. Do you know where the best place is to start looking for replacement panels for this shade? It is a shame that I cannot use it since I need three panels replaced on the shade. Thanks again.

      Dear Bonnie,
If the lamp is a family piece or you have an emotional attachment to it. You could get someone to make you three replacement panels but it is either going to be very very expensive or look dreadful. If you do want to use the lamp you could have panels slumped and just alternate the new with the old around the shade. Desperate times..... ;o)
Oh, you may also find it helpful to know that the trade calls such lamps panelled table lamps and the decor is reverse painted. Tiffany lamps or rather that phrase is reserved for only lighting which was made by Tiffany. Even though every panel lamp from those made yesterday and are hanging in Pizza restaurants to the lovely pieces like your lamp made by Pittsburgh, and perhaps another hundred companies of the 1910-1920s. Good luck with your lamp.
      Sincerely,
      Lisa

I agree with Lisa on the maker, it was most likely Pittsburgh, but an alternative to having new glass reproduced, is to keep an eye on eBay auctions. I have seen this same shade sell cheap because a few panels were broken or missing. It would be a simple fix to use them to repair your lamp. But Lisa is right about having someone make new ones, they would be more expensive than the finished lamp would be worth or they would look bad. I hope you find the replacements.
