One marriage for over 35 years now without him. I'm very happy to have two grown children, and a son in law and a daughter in law, three grandkids, two girls and a boy and two dogs. I love each and everyone more than words can express. I think antiques intrigue me because of their lifetime. Inherited items are heartfelt each time I use or see one. Rescued and adopted items now live in my home and I wonder about who had them and what their lives might have been like. At times I wonder about the length of the 'lives' and how much they were loved and cared for. My first anniversary gift, from my husband, was a pink cherry blossom cake plate bought at a street faire. The very first of that collection. I use it often and hope the love that comes from the cake I made and it's beautiful serving dish will be felt and continued on for a very long time. When its passed on I hope the love expressed with that simple plate will be felt for many generations. Antiques!! (Read more)
