About Vintage Gas Station Road Maps

Road maps became standard fare in gas stations from the early 20th century onward (free in the U.S., but not always in Europe). The maps also served as ads for the different oil companies that produced them. Collectors look for overall condition, colors, cover art/design and content (some maps featured fun facts about local tourist destinations).
