Although Visconti is a relatively new company—it was founded in 1988—its ballpoint, fountain, and rollerball pens have a retro feel to them, blending modern technology with classic styling, vintage materials, and exceptional craftsmanship.
Visconti claims it was the first company to bring back celluloid, which gives its pens their vintage appearance. Numerous other manufacturers have since added pens with celluloid to their product lines, but there is more to a Visconti pen than a piece of old-fashioned plastic. Visconti has also introduced several new technologies to the pen world, such as a filling system that allows the instrument’s reservoir to hold more than six times the ink of a regular cartridge, among other innovations.
