      This lion above a crown mark was used between 1902-22, however the E 3804 pattern number shows that it is china, not earthenware and was made in the period 1905-06.

      I have a Doulton Burslem reference book, but I believe there is a free guide to the marks and pattern numbers at antique-marks.com, as well as many other prominent potteries

      Any artist’s name or initials elsewhere on the pitcher,on the base or hidden in the artwork. That could increase the value.
