she looks like the 1950's Polly Pigtails, should be 14inches tall... this dress she's wearing in the 1950's variant for the Polly

      Hi Lundy and Kerry :-)
Lundy your Doll is from the Little Women Series By Madame Alexander .She is Little Jo Margaret face . Dates 1949-1950's . Her hair has come loose in back as you will see from Photo I am going to include . Madame Alexander used the same faces on many of their dolls and by how they were dressed is who they were . Their cloths always are marked on a tag inside telling what character each doll is . Like Scarlett or Cinderella , they made many . Yours is a early one but condition is everything and she needs a bit of help :-) She is wonderful find Lundy ! Have missed seeing you around . Kerry you were close same face but different character :-) xoxo The faces have slight differences Maggie & Margaret, and Maggie mixup

She is character representing Jo in Little Women a novel by American author Louisa May Alcott (1832–1888), which was originally published in two volumes in 1868 and 1869. Alcott wrote the books rapidly over several months at the request of her publisher. The novel follows the lives of four sisters—Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy March—detailing their passage from childhood to womanhood, and is loosely based on the author and her three sisters.
