Hi, I have a creamer that is black, with red glaze on it.

I has BOTH an impressed mark stating: * ROYAL CANADIAN ART POTTERY * on the bottom, PLUS it also has Red & Gold Foil label on the bottom. So the item I have is therefore double-marked....LOL.

The Red & Gold Foil label states on it:

    RCAP
    Royal Canadian
    Art Pottery
    MADE IN
    SOUTHAMPTON ONTARIO
    CANADA

Nuts is right...it is a good match. Wonder if there's a sugar bowl ? Thanks for the info Rose. My jar isn't embossed on the bottom like your creamer. I probably would have past it by if it weren't for the label. This could be a rarer piece since most of their work seems to be teapots. Appears a bit light weight for a bean pot so a cookie jar seems more likely too. It's 10 1/2" tall and 7" in diameter -Mike-
