My husband and I found this in our first owned home. I'm not sure if we found it in basement or attic.
We have no idea what it is, we have thought it was maybe a medical tool or a tool for basting turkeys. We do not even know what to try and Google about it. We did find some old medicine bottles with labels half intact, so this is why we were thinking medical..
Can anyone help us to identify this object???
Thank you ahead of time.. Sure hope someone recognizes it.

It's not a pleasant thought but it appears to be an antique syphilis syringe. Google that topic and you can find similar devices. Thank you modern medicine!

Ugh, your right, not very pleasant, and I agree.. ouch..
But thanks for the answer, makes sense finding it with old medicine bottles.

Don't use it as a turkey baster then!

it could also be a tool for administering meds to an animal.

This type of wood handle and metal construction would lead me to conclude it is for veterinary purposes.
