Picked this item up at a thrift store. Have no idea if it is authentic or just a remake. Weather it is antique or not I do not know. It has a made in Italy sticker on the back. However I think it will look great on my desk. Any ideas on authenticity or how to reasearch it would be of great help.

That is very nice. My dad collects inkwells if you are ever interested in selling it I would love to purchase it for him to add to his collection.

I'm still deciding if I will keep it or not but I'll let you know if I deciede to sell.
Apparently you didn't realize I was serious about it being "green man". Check out this website and compare some of the renderings.
