This lovely piece was found once again poking through an Op Shop. The wood is multi coloured warm tones, the figures mounted on the block include an elephant with (I'm guessing) bone tusks and toe nails, a crocodile, a large elephants foot with bone nails, and little column perhaps for leaning mail on. The width is 23 cms and height about 7 cms. The front of base is engraved "CEYLON" so I think might be unique. Hope you like it.
Pre 70s if it's labelled Ceylon. Nice carving.
