Just got this Prizer 100 Stove. The lady said she used wood and coal in it. We found a rectangular part under the stove area we have no idea where it goes, and there is a slot in the cooktop that says "up to Bake" with the third picture inserted into it...but it doesn't attach to anything. It looks like a prong may be broken on it. Anyone have any idea how old and what these mystery parts are?

As Prizer-Painter Stoveworks still exists, maybe worth contacting them direct.

I looked at their site, but didn't see any reference to the Priser vintage stoves, but just emailed them to see if they could help. Thanks for the suggestion!

Love it. Do the oven doors open and close properly? That broken piece doesn't belong as a hinge on the door. What about the shelf?

I had a 1930's Wedgewood on legs like yours but that's as close to a guess as I'm going to get. I'll see if I can maybe find the old stove place on line and give you the link. Nice stove but if like mine was, they get hot!

Here you go for starters. There might be something in there of use for you if you search this site a bit ;)

Nope, the doors all work well. In fact after cleaning, the door to the oven seems to shut even tighter. There also doesn't appear to be a slot anywhere where the piece can be inserted. We originally thought it might have something to do with air control, but can't seem to see where it would be used. It has a P-100 stamped on it, so it must belong to this somewhere.....
