Hello!! I purchased this amazing pot/ vase ten years ago at an antique festival. This dealer knew nothing about it, but I bought it anyway. I cannot tell if it is an antique or made to look that way. It is clearly hand thrown, hand painted and EXTREMELY heavy. I took it to an appraisal fair held once a year by a local auction company, but all they could tell me was that it looked very old to them. I have searched the internet for years trying to find something similar or something to help me identify it to no avail. Of the small collection of "mystery" items I have in my home, this one bothers me the most. I would be so grateful for ANY help identifying this unmarked, heavy and beautiful piece of pottery. If anyone has seen something similar or has any guesses, I'd sure LOVE to hear them. Thanks so much for your help!!!!

Oops....I forgot to mention that my vase is 9" in diameter and 9" tall. It actually looks bigger than that to me, but my measuring tape doesn't lie. :)

Thanks! I'll start searching under Greek pottery and see if I can find anything! :)
