    very heavy vase for its size. it weighs 5 and a half pounds. have a resin vase that is larger than this one and it only weighs 3 and a half pounds. the vase is signed on the inside lip and on the bottom of vase. does anyone know what the writing says and where its from.

      This is lost wax molded composition/resin. The base mark, rotated 180 degrees reads 'Ivory Master' and the vase was made in Italy around 1920. The apocryphal inscription in the throat is different on each vase, and so was added to the wax form before applying the casting mold.
