Lionel 027 #2016 Locomotive, I believe it may be cast iron or some other kind of metal. It is very heavy. Excellent Condition.

Had one of these as a kid, they were 'pot metal' poor grade casting, but it server me and my two brothers very well.............
You both are right, it is not cast iron. I haven't been able to find this one on any collector's sites.

I have the exact same engine in perfect condition along with cars, track, transformer and some accessories. Recieved when I was a kid 45 yrs ago. Been wrapped in newspaper in a box and setting on a shelf.
