I have had this little bird since about 1987. This is an adult male Bobwhite. They are a type of quail although they don't have that thingy (a scientific term) on the top of the head. It stands about 7 inches tall from the top of the base.
This is a popular game bird. I have another in a flying pose.

Beautiful Bobwhite! Do you have to do anything special to any of your taxidermy items, other than dusting them off, to keep them looking great like this one? Just curious.
