The Auburn rubber toys were sold in the 1950s maybe into the 60. They were dime store toys, cheap and. not quite up there with Tonka and BuddyL but they had style.
This is Fire Dept #2 of the Auburn F.D. so it says on the hood. This fire engine is a bit over 7" long. It is molded in red with silver paint applied with a mask, a bit sloppily. Still as mentioned before it has its charm. I think the yellow wheels help.
