I dug this button up at an old farmhouse in Minnesota recently. I believe it's copper. I'm wondering if anyone is able to date it. The reverse is very corroded so no makers mark or name.. I will try to clean it with electrolysis. The size is nearly identical to a quarter.

Not sure electrolysis is the way to go on this one. First try boiling H2O2.

Can you boil H2O2. It's an unstable compound and I would think it would be plain water by the time it boiled.
