Just picked up this tall German looking grandfather clock. The clock case is solid oak, it is missing the front apron on the base, as well as the pendulum and weights... a project for sure! I have no idea what poundage of weights to get or length of pendulum. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are no markings on the back of the movement that would identify the maker... there are letter and numbers that were hand etched on he back plate.... is that a date of manufacture or possibly a date the clock was serviced? (8-87)
