The second of three interesting paperweights from my recent South Australian trip. A somewhat crude sulphide that has been identified as being of Leopold the Second of Belgium. It is as you can see faceted in three layers around the edge. It is about 110mms across but only about 45mms thick. I assume the maker would have been Belgian, and Alan Thornton agrees that it is likely that it was. I wonder if anybody can give a better attribution.
